The role of Housekeeping Aide at Vetter Senior Living is integral to maintaining this environment. Working Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, this full-time position provides an opportunity to contribute directly to the well-being of the residents by ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary living space. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or elder care preferred
- Ability to follow safety and infection control procedures
- Effective communication skills
- Strong desire to work with the elderly
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm consistently
- Physical ability to perform housekeeping tasks involving cleaning and equipment handling
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read well enough to follow directions
- Understanding of dangers associated with chemicals, equipment, and supplies in housekeeping
- Strong verbal communication skills to interact with residents, co-workers and visitors
- Commitment to continual learning through educational sessions and in-service training

- Experience working with elderly population preferred

Job Duties

- Provide quality housekeeping services that ensure a clean, safe, comfortable, attractive and sanitary environment is maintained
- Create and maintain an environment which allows each resident to adjust to their limitations and recognize the dignity and worth of each individual
- Participate in in-service educational classes and meetings directed at improving your ability to meet the needs of the residents
- Maintain and follow established safety precautions and infection control procedures when performing day-to-day responsibilities
- Know, understand and perform responsibilities that meet regulatory and company standards
- Serve as an effective teacher, model, and consultant for other staff
- Be a reliable and positive member of the facility's team
- Create a cooperative working relationship with other departments
