Job Description
The Cedars of Chapel Hill is a distinguished upscale retirement community located in Chapel Hill, known for its commitment to providing exceptional care and an enriching lifestyle for over 400 Members. As a premier senior living establishment, The Cedars prides itself on a culture centered around compassion, respect, and personalized service. This community emphasizes the importance of high-quality care delivered with a personal touch, supporting seniors to enjoy life to the fullest in a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment.
At The Cedars of Chapel Hill, team members are regarded as the organization's greatest resource. The facility strongly believes in fostering a caring work culture where employees feel valued and empowered to contribute to the Members' wellness and happiness. The organization promotes a collaborative environment that prioritizes physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychological well-being. Communication, professionalism, and attention to detail are deeply ingrained values within the staff, ensuring an atmosphere where Members’ needs are anticipated and met with timely and enthusiastic responses.
The available position for a Housekeeping employee is integral to maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall ambiance of the entire facility, including common areas, hallways, residential units, restrooms, dining spaces, offices, and furniture. The role demands a commitment to excellence in sanitation standards alongside exceptional customer service skills. Working as part of The Cedars’ team means embodying the core values of compassion and respect, greeting residents warmly by name, actively listening to their concerns, and going beyond basic duties to foster trusting, meaningful relationships.
The Housekeeping role is part-time, with scheduled hours from Monday to Wednesday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, offering a work-life balance suitable for those seeking stable and predictable shifts. While previous experience in a hotel or country club setting is preferred, it is not mandatory, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to grow their skills in a supportive community. A valid driver's license is required, and the ability to understand and effectively communicate in English is essential to succeed in this role.
The Cedars of Chapel Hill not only commits to the well-being of its Members but also invests in its employees’ professional growth and overall satisfaction. The company offers a competitive benefits package that includes paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employer match, educational assistance, as well as health and wellness programs. Full-time employees enjoy comprehensive benefits such as fully paid life, disability, medical, vision, and dental insurance, while part-time employees earn prorated paid time off and are eligible for 401(k) benefits when meeting hour requirements.
Embracing diversity and inclusion, The Cedars is an equal opportunity employer welcoming candidates of all backgrounds, including minorities, women, people with disabilities, veterans, and members of the LGBTQ community. Join this compassionate and dedicated team where you can make extraordinary impressions by enriching the lives of seniors and becoming a vital part of a trusted, caring community.
