The San Diego KOA is a premier outdoor campground resort located in the picturesque environment of sunny southern California. Known for its award-winning service and array of amenities, the resort operates year-round, providing camping experiences in various accommodations including RVs, standard cabins, deluxe cabins, and tents. This well-established campground is dedicated to creating memorable experiences for families, outdoor enthusiasts, and vacationers by combining excellent customer service with the natural beauty of the San Diego area. With a focus on guest satisfaction and comfort, the resort has cultivated a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that encourages visitors to connect with nature while enjoying modern conveniences and well-maintained facilities.
As a seasonal member of the housekeeping team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the campground’s high standards for cleanliness and guest comfort from May 1 through October 31. This position demands an enthusiastic and proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic, fun, and sometimes challenging environment. The work schedule offers 15 to 25 hours per week depending on campground occupancy, with shifts primarily scheduled between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Thursday through Monday, including mandatory Sunday availability. Compensation starts competitively at $17 per hour, with opportunities for increases based on experience. Reporting directly to the Housekeeping Department Manager, your role will involve not only routine cleaning and preparation of guest accommodations but also active engagement with guests and staff to ensure a positive and safe environment. Job Requirements
- Must be available seasonally from May 1 to October 31
- 15-25 hours per week depending on occupancy
- must be able to work Sunday through Saturday with most shifts between 9am-5pm
- must be available on Sundays
- able to stand for entire shift and lift at least 30 lbs
- able to climb stairs, bend, lift, and move repetitively
- ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- communicate clearly and patiently with guests and team members
- maintain professional appearance and attitude throughout shift
- speak English, bilingual preferred

Job Duties
- Ensures customers receive a high level of service consistent with customer service philosophy
- communicate with all staff and management using Basecamp System
- enforce campground policies and implement solutions consistent with goals of park
- proactive guest management to ensure positive environment for all guests
- coordinate with Guest Service staff for guest arrivals
- coordinate with Guest Service staff for problem resolution when applicable
- utilize creative problem solving skills
- cleaning and preparation of deluxe cabins, standard cabins, and deluxe tents including linens for guest arrivals
- cleaning and sanitizing of all surfaces, furniture and floors
- bed making
- bathroom cleaning
- kitchen cleaning
- restocking of consumables and toiletries
- daily cleaning and maintenance of the restroom facilities
- janitorial duties on all buildings at the campground
- laundry of linens for deluxe accommodations as needed
- complete various duties as assigned by manager which can include but are not limited to: light janitorial duties, assisting other departments in completion of tasks, overall support in daily performance of the campground
