The Housekeeping Runner plays an essential role within HHM Hotels, responsible for fulfilling and delivering guest requests with the highest standard of presentation. This position is pivotal in supporting the housekeeping department by managing linen and trash removal, ensuring linen closets remain well-stocked and orderly, and maintaining a clean and safe environment throughout the property. Beyond the operational aspects, the Housekeeping Runner serves as an ambassador of hospitality, offering assistance to guests promptly and contributing significantly to a positive guest experience.

This full-time role demands a candidate who is physically capable and highly organized, able to perform duties that include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and moving throughout the resort. The Housekeeping Runner is expected to work closely with the housekeeping office and PBX team, reporting at the start of each shift and communicating effectively to meet guest needs. The role assures the upkeep of housekeeping equipment and supplies and actively supports the hotel's sustainability initiatives under the EarthView program by following established green practices.

In addition to regular responsibilities, the Housekeeping Runner must be prepared to respond appropriately to any hotel emergencies or safety situations, emphasizing the company’s commitment to guest and employee safety. This role is a gateway for career progression within the HHM Hotels housekeeping department, with clear advancement pathways leading to Housekeeping Supervisor, Assistant Executive Housekeeper, and Executive Housekeeper positions. Job Duties

  • Report housekeeping office and PBX team at start of shift
  • Fulfill and deliver guest requests with the proper presentation
  • Inventory and maintain cleanliness of all linen closets and empty trash
  • Resupply guest room supplies in the linen closet daily
  • Offer assistance to guest when requested or needed
  • Report any maintenance deficiencies to housekeeping
  • Employ proper use and maintenance of equipment and supplies
  • Make sure all storage closets are clean and neat daily
  • Respond appropriately to any hotel emergency or safety situation
  • Pick up and deliver guest request items in a timely manner and calling them in as complete once they have been delivered
  • Report to work as scheduled, in proper uniform, and following company appearance standards
  • Collect trash from various areas throughout the property and take it to the designated area
  • Consistently maintain a positive, friendly, helpful attitude that ensures a positive guest experience
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program
  • Other duties as assigned by management
