The Housekeeping Runner role at this resort is a vital position within the housekeeping department. This role requires the candidate to work closely with the Housekeeping Office and PBX team at the beginning of their shift and communicate effectively to ensure guest satisfaction and operational flow.

This position is full-time and demands physical endurance, as it involves frequently standing and moving throughout the resort, as well as lifting items up to 50 pounds. The Housekeeping Runner plays an essential role in supporting housekeeping supervisors and executive housekeepers through consistent maintenance of storage areas, inventory management, and guest assistance. Additionally, this role demands strict adherence to sustainability practices through the HHM's EarthView program, aligning environmental responsibility with daily duties.

Job Duties

  • Report to the Housekeeping Office and PBX team at start of shift
  • fulfill and deliver guest requests with proper presentation
  • inventory and maintain cleanliness of all linen closets and empty trash
  • resupply guest room supplies in linen closet daily
  • offer assistance to guests when requested or needed
  • report maintenance deficiencies to housekeeping
  • employ proper use and maintenance of equipment and supplies
  • make sure all storage closets are clean and neat daily
  • respond appropriately to any hotel emergency or safety situation
  • pick up and deliver guest request items in a timely manner and call them in as complete once delivered
  • report to work as scheduled in proper uniform and follow company appearance standards
  • collect trash from various areas throughout property and take it to designated area
  • consistently maintain a positive, friendly, helpful attitude to ensure positive guest experience
  • follow sustainability guidelines related to HHM's EarthView program
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
