The role of Housekeeping Room Attendant at the La Quinta Inn & Suites, part of the Kalahari family located in Round Rock, Texas, is a vital position within the operations team. The La Quinta Inn & Suites is a comfortable 99-room hotel that aligns with Kalahari's high standards of guest service and facility quality. This full-time role emphasizes the importance of cleanliness, guest comfort, and attention to detail to maintain and elevate the overall guest experience.

As a Housekeeping Room Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and attractiveness of guestrooms, ensuring each room is inviting, comfortable, and fully stocked according to company standards. The attentiveness and courtesy you provide guests contribute directly to the welcoming atmosphere that Kalahari Resorts and its affiliates are known for. This position requires you to perform pre-cleaning duties that include preparing the housekeeping cart with necessary guest supplies, cleaning materials, and linens.

Beyond routine cleaning, your duties extend to keeping hallways, public areas, and storage closets clean and presentable, which helps maintain the resort’s pristine image. Collaborating closely with housekeeping management, you will report any missing items in rooms, such as irons, hair dryers, or coffee makers, to ensure replacements are provided promptly. Job Requirements

  • Ability to work long hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects up to 50 pounds
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Good communication skills
  • Commitment to providing excellent guest service

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience in residential or commercial settings is helpful but not required
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong time management and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards
  • Complete all pre-cleaning duties including guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart set-up
  • Keep all hallways, public areas and closets clean, neat and vacuumed if applicable
  • Report all missing items from rooms such as irons/boards, hair dryers, coffee makers to the Housekeeping Manager or Supervisor
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
