Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in hotel or related field preferred
  • flexible to work long hours
  • ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and stand throughout entire shift
  • ability to convey information clearly
  • ability to evaluate and select actions quickly
  • ability to handle workplace problems
  • ability to understand basic arithmetic and financial data
  • effective listening skills

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • maintain regular attendance in compliance with Expotel Hospitality Service standards
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and nametag
  • comply with Expotel Hospitality Service regulations to promote safe and efficient operations
  • maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
  • be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and fellow employees
  • thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards
  • complete all pre-cleaning duties including guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen setup
  • remove all trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways
  • keep hallways, public areas and closets clean, neat and vacuumed
  • restock housekeeping cleaning cart for next day use
  • replenish chemical bottles
  • clean room with door closed unless requested otherwise by the guest
  • report all missing items to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager
  • report maintenance repairs immediately
  • handle lost and found items per standards
  • attend meetings/training as required
  • perform other duties as requested by management
