The role of the Housekeeping Room Attendant at The Ellison is crucial to maintaining these high standards of cleanliness and guest service. This position focuses on ensuring that guest rooms are meticulously cleaned and maintained to provide an outstanding environment for guests. Reporting directly to the Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Supervisor, the Housekeeping Room Attendant plays an essential part in the hotel's overall operations by overseeing the cleanliness and readiness of rooms. Duties include making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, replenishing linens and amenities, performing deep cleaning tasks, and maintaining safety and cleanliness according to brand standards. The role is physically demanding and requires flexibility in shifts, including availability on weekends and holidays. Additionally, the attendant is responsible for responding promptly and courteously to guest requests, disposing of waste properly, and assisting with guest turn-down services when needed. This position demands a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of housekeeping and hotel service operations. Job Requirements

  • ability to grasp, lift, and/or carry, or otherwise, transport up to 30 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations
  • good eye for details
  • working knowledge of housekeeping and hotel services, policies, and operations
  • good communication skills
  • must be able to meet the physical demands of the position

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • a minimum of 1 year of housekeeping and/or hotel experience
  • must be available for day shifts, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • clean guest rooms as assigned, including, but not limited to, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, and vacuuming
  • change and replenish bed linens, towels, and guest amenities, as needed
  • perform deep cleaning tasks, as needed
  • maintain safety and cleanliness standards for the brand
  • stock, maintain, and transport housekeeping supplies throughout the hotel
  • dispose of trash and recyclables
  • respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
  • perform guest turn-down service, as needed
  • be able to work flexible shifts
  • be able to meet the physical demands of the position
