Job Description

The Ellison, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is an upscale boutique hotel situated in the vibrant urban setting of The Classen Curve, adjacent to Nichols Hills and the Western Avenue district in Oklahoma. As part of Marriott's Tribute brand, which celebrates independent hotels with unique stories, The Ellison honors the legacy of Oklahoman author Ralph Ellison by highlighting the distinct and often undiscovered qualities of Oklahoma. This neighborhood hotel offers guests a blend of lifestyle boutique charm with upscale amenities, featuring a restaurant lounge, dining room, patio, banquet areas, and a rooftop patio bar. With a total room count of 120, the hotel prides itself on fostering a welcoming atmosphere that feels personal yet refined, making each guest's stay memorable through exceptional service and attention to detail. The hotel's philosophy, "Discover what is Hidden in Plain Sight," invites guests to experience authentic local culture within a luxurious setting.

The Housekeeping Room Attendant role is a crucial position within The Ellison's commitment to providing outstanding guest service. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms, ensuring that the high standards of the brand are consistently met. Reporting directly to the Housekeeping Supervisor and Housekeeping Manager, the Housekeeping Room Attendant performs a variety of cleaning tasks such as making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing linens and amenities. Additionally, attendants perform deep cleaning duties as necessary and maintain the safety and cleanliness standards throughout the hotel.

The role also requires the transport and stocking of housekeeping supplies, proper disposal of trash and recyclables, timely response to special guest requests, and the ability to perform guest turn-down service. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, is essential given the demands of hospitality operations. Candidates should have a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a sound understanding of housekeeping services and hotel operations. This physically demanding role requires the ability to lift or transport items up to 30 pounds, reflecting the active nature of the job.

The Ellison Hotel is proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. It values diversity and inclusivity and ensures that all qualified applicants are considered for employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, age, or any other federally protected class. This particular position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship. Joining The Ellison means becoming part of a dedicated team that values meticulous craftsmanship in guest room care as well as fostering a supportive, respectful work environment where every team member plays a vital role in the guest experience.
