Job Description

Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort is a distinctive vacation destination nestled on the scenic Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. Renowned for providing guests with the enchanting experience that only Disney can offer, the resort combines natural beauty with the exceptional quality and service Disney guests expect worldwide. As part of the larger Disney family, the Hilton Head Island Resort prides itself on delivering memorable stays through attention to detail, outstanding amenities, and heartfelt guest interactions. The resort features comfortable accommodations, rich recreational activities, and is inspired by the low-country charm of coastal South Carolina, offering guests a unique blend of relaxation and adventure in a picturesque setting.

The role of Housekeeping Host/Hostess at Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort is an essential position that goes beyond traditional housekeeping duties. This part-time role starts at $24.00 per hour and embodies the Disney difference by focusing on making each guest feel welcomed, comfortable, and valued during their stay. Individuals in this role are responsible not only for maintaining spotless guest rooms but also creating a warm and hospitable environment that exemplifies the famed Disney magic. The Housekeeping Hosts/Hostesses are trained extensively to use eco-friendly and efficient cleaning techniques, ensuring that every room meets the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Key to this role is the ability to engage with guests in a friendly and helpful manner. Housekeeping Hosts/Hostesses go the extra mile by learning guest names in advance when possible and even leaving hand-written thank you notes to personalize the guest experience. Their work involves thorough cleaning duties such as stripping and making beds, vacuuming, dusting, bathroom sanitation, replenishing linens and amenities, trash disposal, appliance cleaning, and spot cleaning carpets. Additionally, team members may be required to move heavy objects like mattresses and bedsprings, ensuring the rooms are impeccably maintained.

Interaction with guests plays a significant role as Housekeeping Hosts/Hostesses are often sought out for directions, assistance with resort information, and timely responses to guest requests. This requires excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to assist others. Availability to work at least three full days a week, including weekends and holidays, is essential to meet the operational needs of the resort. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and comfortable with the physical aspects of the job, including lifting and handling cleaning chemicals.

This role offers a rewarding opportunity to work at a premier destination, where employees are treated like family and become an integral part of creating magical moments for guests. With a blend of thorough training, a supportive work culture, and valuable team benefits, Housekeeping Hosts/Hostesses at Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort enjoy a fulfilling part-time career. They are valued members of a team dedicated to excellence in hospitality and guest satisfaction, contributing to the overall reputation and success of the Disney brand at this beautiful coastal location.
