Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • maintains clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas according to established standards
  • uses supplies economically and cares for equipment properly
  • cooperates with other employees to promote efficiency and completion of all tasks
  • receives assignments from supervisor and follows daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules
  • cleans furnishings, fixtures, carpeting, and rugs using proper techniques
  • dusts, spot cleans, washes, disinfects, and polishes as necessary
  • empties and cleans wastebaskets and ashtrays
  • straightens or rearranges furniture as directed
  • inspects furnishings for wear and defects and reports to supervisor
  • cleans bathrooms, patient equipment, windows, mirrors, walls, floors, ceilings, entrances, and exits
  • replenishes bathroom supplies
  • performs terminal cleaning in patient rooms and isolation units
  • cleans operating rooms and associated areas per policy
  • removes and rehungs curtains, drapes, and dividers
