We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Housekeeping team member to join our cleaning and maintenance staff at the Westin San Francisco. This non-management position plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and overall guest satisfaction, reflecting the high standards Marriott is known for. The role pays $35.82 per hour and requires a flexible schedule, with preference for availability on weekends and holidays. As a Housekeeper, your responsibilities will include inspecting guest rooms post-cleaning, ensuring all areas meet the established quality standards. You will document the status of cleaned rooms on assignment sheets and complete detailed checklists to report on the condition of your assigned areas. This position entails following strict safety procedures when gaining entry to guest rooms, making sure the rooms are unoccupied before entry, and responding promptly to requests from guests and other hotel departments.

The role also involves assisting management with staffing efforts, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, motivation, and ongoing employee development. Housekeepers are expected to act as role models within the team, demonstrating professionalism, respect for colleagues, and dedication to meeting quality assurance expectations.

Employees are required to adhere to Marriott's comprehensive security policies and protocols, including reporting maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries. The position demands physical endurance and motor skills, such as lifting and moving items up to 55 pounds independently, and more with assistance, as well as frequent bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods. Housekeepers will also operate equipment related to their duties and must maintain a neat uniform and professional appearance at all times.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of related work experience
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to lift and move objects up to 55 pounds

  • Ability to communicate clearly

Job Duties
