The position of Housekeeping Environmental Services (EVS) Associate is a critical role within the Environmental Services - Hospital Department at Banner Del Webb Medical Center. This full-time, night shift role (11 PM to 7:30 AM) is vital for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic upkeep of the hospital environment which is crucial in the overall patient care experience. Job Requirements
- ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision
- ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions
- effective communication skills by phone and verbally
- ability to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for mixing and use of cleaning chemicals and to fill out chemical identification stickers
- possession of an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card if working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital or the Whole Health Clinic
- completion of background check and drug screen
- completion of annual flu vaccine or approved exemption
Job Qualifications
- previous related experience with environmental services equipment and cleaning techniques preferred
- additional related education and or experience preferred
Job Duties
- perform a variety of assigned cleaning tasks including dusting mopping scrubbing disinfecting vacuuming and polishing according to departmental policy and procedures
- empty hampers and transport soiled linen
- empty trash containers and remove all trash including medical waste containers and sharps
- inventory restock and replenish supplies such as toilet tissue paper towels and hand soap in assigned areas
- maintain cleanliness of departmental equipment and notify personnel of repairs needed
- perform special projects such as window washing wall washing and removing heavily soiled items or furnishings
- respond to questions and requests from patients staff and visitors
