The hotel is committed to providing guests with an exceptional stay by maintaining rooms and public areas according to industry-leading protocols. As an establishment operating within the hospitality industry, the hotel caters to a variety of travelers, emphasizing comfort, safety, and a welcoming environment. The housekeeping department plays a critical role in delivering these promises by ensuring that every guest room and shared space meets stringent cleanliness and maintenance expectations.

The position of Housekeeping Manager is vital to the hotel's success. The Housekeeping Manager will also be responsible for the creation and tracking of incentive programs to motivate employees consistently. Maintaining workplace safety is a priority, involving ensuring that all equipment is functional, that team members are properly trained in the use of machinery and cleaning chemicals, and that all safety processes comply with regulations such as the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

This role requires scheduling and directing the team effectively, enforcing processes and policies, coordinating deep cleaning initiatives, and conducting regular visual inspections of guest rooms, corridors, common areas, and back-of-house sections. Close collaboration with the maintenance team to address and resolve any safety or repair concerns is also a crucial part of the position.

The Housekeeping Manager must ensure accurate and timely documentation, such as room status in property management systems and inventory counts for linens and supplies. They will be directly involved in managing labor productivity and may need to perform housekeeping duties during peak occupancy periods. The manager will also oversee the lost and found process and ensure all employees complete mandatory safety training.

Maintaining compliance with hotel security, fire, health, and safety regulations is essential, as is fostering a cooperative working relationship with other departments. Flexibility and dedication are a must in this role, with responsibilities potentially expanding as needed to support overall operations.
