We are seeking a passionate and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team. This leadership role presents a unique opportunity for a driven individual to take ownership of one of the hotel’s most important and largest departments. As the Housekeeping Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the operation by establishing and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization. Your leadership will be crucial in coaching and motivating housekeepers, supervisors, and laundry staff to perform their best. You will be entrusted with creating clear expectations, developing effective workflows, and fostering a respectful and positive work environment. Your proactive approach will help recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team committed to excellence.

This role requires an individual who enjoys hands-on leadership and is comfortable working in a fast-paced hotel environment while maintaining calm under pressure. You will collaborate closely with other hotel departments such as Front Desk and Maintenance to ensure guest rooms are guest-ready and maintenance issues are promptly addressed. Oversight of labor scheduling, inventory management, supply procurement, and departmental budgeting will also fall under your responsibilities.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in housekeeping management or related hospitality leadership role
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities
  • Proficiency in scheduling and inventory management
  • Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and quality
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Capability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively

Job Duties

  • Take full ownership of the Housekeeping Department and its daily operations
  • Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and pride in delivering exceptional guest rooms
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop housekeeping supervisors, room attendants, public area attendants, and laundry staff
  • Create organized workflows that improve efficiency and productivity
  • Conduct room inspections and ensure guestrooms consistently exceed brand standards
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain a high-performing housekeeping team
  • Partner with Front Desk and Maintenance to ensure rooms are guest-ready and maintenance concerns are resolved promptly
  • Manage labor scheduling, inventory, supplies, and department budgets
  • Prepare the department for brand inspections and maintain exceptional cleanliness scores
  • Champion workplace safety and ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA standards
