The Housekeeping Manager at The Heathman Hotel holds a pivotal role in upholding the high standards and refined guest experiences that the hotel is known for. This position is a hands-on, service-driven leadership role responsible for overseeing the cleanliness, presentation, and comfort across the entire property. The Housekeeping Manager directly supervises and supports the housekeeping team, including Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Public Area Attendants, ensuring that all guest rooms and public spaces meet the hotel’s stringent quality criteria. Collaborating closely with the Rooms leadership team, the manager plays a strategic role in maintaining an environment that reflects The Heathman’s sophistication and luxury.

In this role, the Housekeeping Manager is tasked with managing daily operations, from scheduling to inventory control, and ensuring compliance with safety and cleaning standards. The manager is also responsible for fostering a respectful and productive work environment, emphasizing team development and effective communication across departments. This position requires a leader who not only understands the operational aspects of housekeeping but also possesses the skills to inspire and develop a high-performing team in a fast-paced, high-volume hotel setting.

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
  • Supervise, train, and support Housekeeping team members including Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Public Area Attendants
  • Ensure all spaces meet the hotel's standards for cleanliness, organization, and presentation
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure quality and consistency
  • Manage team scheduling to meet operational needs and occupancy levels
  • Maintain inventory of linens, supplies, and equipment
  • ensure proper stock levels
  • Monitor productivity, labor costs, and departmental efficiency
  • Address guest requests and resolve concerns promptly and professionally
  • Maintain open communication with Front Office, Engineering, and other departments
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, cleaning procedures, and company policies
  • Support onboarding, training, and development of housekeeping team members
