The Housekeeping Manager role at Sonesta International Hotels is pivotal in upholding and enhancing the company's Culture of Caring. This role is designed for leaders who are not only focused on creating outstanding guest experiences but who also inspire and empower their teams to achieve success. The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for directing and managing daily operations within the Housekeeping Department to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness, safety, and service quality throughout the property. A significant aspect of this role involves the implementation of property-wide strategies aimed at increasing guest satisfaction scores, reducing employee turnover, maintaining budgetary discipline in terms of revenue and payroll, and consistently meeting and surpassing productivity goals.

Operationally, the Housekeeping Manager ensures rooms and public areas are cleaned and maintained according to Sonesta standards, conducts inspections, and maintains necessary inventories with a focus on cost control. This position requires close coordination and communication with other hotel departments to promote teamwork and a seamless guest experience. Strategic responsibilities include staffing decisions, inventory management, and analysis of guest feedback to drive continuous improvement. Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor
  • ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
  • flexibility to work variable days including weekends and holidays
  • flexibility to work variable shifts including days, nights, and overnights
  • ability to stand, bend, climb, kneel, and move frequently throughout the hotel
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manage day-to-day operations to ensure quality and standards are met
