Founded on principles of connectedness, sustainability, and personalized care, Hyatt takes pride in shaping not only guests' travel experiences but also offering fulfilling careers to those passionate about hospitality. As a brand known for its exceptional service and innovative approach, Hyatt’s culture is one where every role matters, opportunities for growth are abundant, and individuality is celebrated. Hospitality at Hyatt is more than a job; it is a career path for individuals who truly care about the guest experience and the community they serve.
Hyatt Place represents a dynamic segment of Hyatt Hotels, designed to offer a relaxed yet elevated hospitality experience. Known for its dramatic design, innovative cuisine, and attentive service, Hyatt Place redefines what a hotel stay should be. It provides guests with a fresh, inviting environment where comfort meets style, and quality service is a standard. Hyatt Place stands apart as an experience-driven destination, and the team members are the key to bringing this vision to life.
The role of Housekeeping Manager at Hyatt Place is crucial in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction that the Hyatt brand is known for. This supervisory position involves overseeing the housekeeping operations, ensuring that guest rooms meet rigorous quality standards, and leading the housekeeping team by example. The Housekeeping Manager carries responsibility for inspecting guest rooms, handling personnel matters such as counseling and interviewing employees, and resolving guest complaints promptly and efficiently. Additionally, this role requires managing general administrative duties within the department, including record-keeping and scheduling.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of hotel experience, with a strong preference for those with prior supervisory experience in housekeeping. Excellent communication skills and basic computer proficiency are essential to effectively manage team operations and coordinate with other hotel departments. The position requires flexibility as work shifts vary weekly, with the earliest start time at 7 AM and the latest end time extending up to 9 or 10 PM. Availability to work on weekends and holidays is mandatory to meet the operational needs of the hotel.
Compensation for the Housekeeping Manager position ranges from $20 to $21 per hour, with actual pay commensurate with experience. Hyatt recognizes and rewards its employees with a comprehensive benefits package that supports wellness, career growth, and work-life balance. Workers at Hyatt enjoy medical, prescription, dental, and vision insurance after just 30 days of employment. Additional perks include free room nights, discounted and Friends & Family room rates, free employee parking or bus passes, paid vacation, holidays, sick days, as well as leave for new parents and personal days. Employees also benefit from discounts on various retailers such as Apple and AT&T, a 401k program with company matching, tuition reimbursement, an employee stock purchase plan, and exceptional training and career development opportunities.
Hyatt’s values are foundational to its culture and include empathy, integrity, respect, inclusion, experimentation, and wellbeing. These core principles guide how employees interact with guests and colleagues alike, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Hyatt is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, ensuring fair consideration for all candidates regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status. Join Hyatt, and become part of a team that is making travel more human, connected, and sustainable.
