Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years experience in housekeeping or a related field
  • prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
  • physical capability to perform housekeeping duties
  • strong communication skills in English
  • proficiency in basic computer skills for scheduling and inventory management
  • knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to housekeeping

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in housekeeping or a related field, with some leadership responsibilities preferred
  • strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, for team and guest interactions
  • keen attention to detail and the ability to uphold high cleanliness standards
  • physical ability to perform housekeeping tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • capability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required
  • problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to address potential challenges with professionalism
  • experience in using housekeeping equipment and familiarity with cleaning techniques and products is advantageous

Job Duties

  • Supervise and support the daily operations of the housekeeping team to achieve departmental goals
  • ensure all rooms, common areas, and facilities are cleaned and maintained to the highest quality standards
  • inspect completed work to ensure ongoing compliance with cleanliness and safety protocols
  • organize schedules and assign tasks to housekeeping staff for efficient workflow management
  • collaborate with other departments to ensure an excellent guest or customer experience
  • train new housekeeping staff and provide ongoing guidance to maintain productivity and quality
  • monitor inventory levels for cleaning supplies and equipment and communicate purchasing needs
  • address and resolve any housekeeping-related issues or guest concerns promptly
  • ensure adherence to company policies, health, and safety regulations at all times
