The role of Housekeeping Lead at Loomis Communities plays a vital part in maintaining the community’s outstanding environment and resident experience. As a key frontline position, the Housekeeping Lead acts as a role model and leader for housekeeping associates, ensuring that cleaning services meet the company’s high standards. This position is entrusted with overseeing housekeeping functions, maintaining cleanliness, safety, and health standards, and providing outstanding customer service. The Housekeeping Lead promotes a positive culture through effective communication, teamwork, and mentoring, contributing significantly to the overall positive atmosphere within the community.
Assigned to work at any location within Loomis Communities, the Housekeeping Lead demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of proper housekeeping techniques, including specialized tasks like floor, carpet, and upholstery cleaning, laundry services, and room setup. The position combines hands-on responsibilities with supervisory duties, such as assisting in scheduling, training, and human resource management. Another essential aspect of this role is the maintenance and careful handling of housekeeping equipment and cleaning chemicals, ensuring compliance with OSHA and manufacturer standards.
The Housekeeping Lead is also involved in various administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate billing records and collecting data for reporting metrics. This role supports the Director with staffing oversight and performance coaching, ensuring that all team members are effectively prepared to deliver top service. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 2 years of housekeeping and customer service experience
- ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions
- ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups
- ability to perform physical tasks required for housekeeping
- must adhere to safety standards including OSHA
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- reliable attendance
- flexibility to work extended hours when necessary
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of previous housekeeping and customer service experience
- ability to read, write, and speak English
- ability to apply common sense and carry out instructions

Job Duties
- Demonstrates respect for diversity and reflects it in behavior and services
- performs housekeeping including seven step cleaning process for floors, carpets, upholstery, room setup, and laundry
- maintains housekeeping equipment and storage in a safe, orderly manner
- uses cleaning chemicals safely and per standards

- promotes hospitality best practices and standard operating procedures
- works collaboratively to meet service standards
- maintains accurate billing records and reports data
