About Marriott Phoenix Chandler Hotel: Nestled in Chandler, Arizona, the Marriott Phoenix Chandler stands as the newest full-service Marriott property in the state. With 264 guest rooms complemented by over 21,000 square feet of event space, it boasts the largest ballroom in Chandler, making it a premier destination for meetings and celebrations. The hotel features the Proof ’19 bar, offering handcrafted cocktails, local brews, and authentic Southwest cuisine, alongside a Starbucks Café that serves a variety of breakfast options and morning beverages. Role Overview: The Marriott Phoenix Chandler Hotel is currently seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Housekeeping Inspector to join its team. This full-time position is pivotal in maintaining the exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation that Marriott is known for, both in guest rooms and public areas. As a Housekeeping Inspector, you will provide critical support to the Housekeeping Manager and Assistant Housekeeping Manager by leading and coaching the housekeeping team, ensuring rooms are guest-ready, and that the property meets the brand’s quality expectations consistently.

The Housekeeping Inspector will engage in detailed inspections, report maintenance issues, coordinate with teams to meet operational goals, and occasionally assist with housekeeping duties during peak periods. Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb stairs as needed
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to move throughout all areas of the hotel while performing room inspections

Job Qualifications

  • At least six months of housekeeping inspection experience in a hotel of similar size and quality
  • Experience with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) preferred
  • Working knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures, quality standards, safety practices, and security policies
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify cleanliness and maintenance concerns
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and lead team members
  • Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with guests and associates
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Inspect guest rooms (vacant, occupied, and check-out rooms) to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and adherence to Marriott brand standards
  • Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet quality and cleanliness expectations
  • Identify and report maintenance concerns promptly to the Engineering team and follow up as needed
  • Respond to and assist with special guest requests including extra towels, pillows, blankets, and amenities
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and support to Room Attendants and House Attendants to promote continuous improvement and maintain high performance standards
  • Assist team members by ensuring they have the supplies, equipment, and resources needed to perform their duties efficiently
  • Partner with housekeeping leadership to ensure rooms are guest-ready and operational goals are achieved
  • Assist with room cleaning and housekeeping duties during peak business demands
  • Promote a positive, safe, and team-oriented work environment while delivering outstanding guest service
