The Housekeeping Inspector role at Valley River Inn is an essential position that ensures the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are maintained throughout the property. This role focuses on inspecting guest rooms after cleaning to verify adherence to quality and cleanliness standards, coaching room attendants to enhance their performance, and maintaining organized storage and supply areas within the housekeeping department. As a housekeeping inspector, you will additionally be involved in the logistical aspects of the department such as opening and closing duties via computerized systems, handling soiled linens and supplies, and assisting with furniture arrangement and mattress turning. Job Duties

  • Inspects guest rooms after room attendants have completed to ensure cleanliness standards
  • coach and counsel room attendants when guest rooms are not cleaned to standards
  • open/close housekeeping department using computer systems
  • collects soiled linens for laundering and receives and stores linen supplies in linen closet
  • operates golf cart to transport laundry to and from north and south buildings
  • moves and arranges furniture
  • turns mattresses
  • performs duties as assigned by executive housekeeper and supervisor
  • maintains storage areas neat and organized
  • maintains proper par of supplies as needed of room supplies and communicates damage or shortages to supervisor
  • ensures proper use and care of all equipment
  • reports damages, lost items, or anything unusual or suspicious
  • delegates and assists lobby attendants and house attendants with cleaning, trash, and recycling
  • delivers irons and boards, Pack & Play, and other items to guest rooms
  • assists in the cleaning of rooms and laundry as needed
