Job Description

Hyatt is a globally renowned hospitality company committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences through dedicated and attentive service. With its extensive portfolio of full-service hotels and resorts worldwide, Hyatt has earned a reputation for excellence in hospitality by fostering a caring environment that puts the guests' comfort and satisfaction at the forefront of every interaction. The company values its employees as crucial contributors to its success, believing that it is the caring and attentive nature of its colleagues that make the difference in creating memorable stays for guests. Hyatt prides itself on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, service, and welcoming atmospheres in each of its properties, ensuring that travelers feel at home no matter the destination. Hyatt is an inclusive employer providing equal opportunity employment without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.

The role of an Inspector at Hyatt is fundamental in sustaining the hallmark cleanliness and comfort expected from the brand. As an Inspector, you will be responsible for meticulously examining guest rooms after they have been cleaned by the housekeeping team to confirm that every detail meets Hyatt's stringent cleanliness standards. This position is ideal for individuals with previous housekeeping experience who have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality. Inspectors play a pivotal role in ensuring guest rooms are not only clean but also inviting and ready for arrival. Being energetic, detail-oriented, and meticulous is essential, as well as having excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise between housekeeping staff and the front desk.

In this role, the Inspector works closely with Housekeepers, Housekeeping Supervisors, and the Front Desk team to facilitate seamless communication regarding the status of room readiness. An Inspector is responsible for releasing inspected and approved rooms to the front desk so that arrivals, resort guests, owners, and VIPs receive an immaculate and prepared accommodation experience. Additionally, this position demands the ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment, managing multiple priorities and times efficiently to ensure operational smoothness. The hourly wage for this position is $29.68, reflecting Hyatt's commitment to rewarding quality work and dedication.

The work schedule is flexible and may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, adapted to meet the operational needs of the hotel. Physical stamina is required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods during inspections. Familiarity with hotel computer systems such as HotSOS and Opera, while preferred, is not mandatory but would enhance the ability to perform duties effectively. Working at Hyatt offers the opportunity to be part of a respected global hospitality leader, engaging in a role that directly impacts guest satisfaction and hotel service excellence. Hyatt also encourages prospective employees to experience their Virtual Reality Experience to get a glimpse of a day in the life of a hospitality professional at one of their full-service hotels, providing a unique insight into the dynamic and rewarding environment of the hospitality industry.
