Job Requirements
- Must use personal protective equipment including boots, gloves, goggles
- Familiarity with hand tools like mops and brooms and power equipment/tools
- Positive attitude and ability to remain positive regardless of current task
- Proactive in communicating concerns and reacting to situations
- Understands importance of safety in all aspects of work performance and personal accountability for safe behaviors
- Receptive to special requests
- Enthusiastic about interacting and helping guests and Cast
- Ability to drive small powered equipment
- Able to read, write, and speak the English language
- Willingness to maintain availability for full-time shifts including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Some roles require additional specialized training in procedure and ergonomic principles
- Full availability seven days per week is preferred
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience cleaning office buildings, hospitals, or restaurants preferred
- Basic computer knowledge
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Enthusiastic about interacting and helping guests and Cast
- Ability to drive small powered equipment such as golf cart type vehicles and ride-on sweepers
- Knowledgeable about the resort and surrounding area
- Proficient in the use of mobile devices such as iPhone and iPad
- Willing to consistently be a role model while delivering The Five Keys and Aulani Core Values
Job Duties
- Assists Housekeeper
- Transports dirty linens/towels from corridor floors to the linen room and loading dock
- Cleans and dusts corridors, walls, baseboards, vacuums carpets, cleans windows, sanitizes high touch areas and elevators
- Delivers items requested by guests
- Delivers machines, cribs, and air mattresses as needed to guest rooms
- Restocks linen rooms
- sweeps and cleans linen room floors daily
- Cleans vending and ice machines, DVC Trash and Recycle Rooms, Laundry Room floors, walls, and baseboards
- Removes trash and recycle materials to appropriate areas throughout the day
- Utilizes specialized housekeeping equipment such as floor machines and extractors to deep clean guest room balconies and bathrooms
