The Housekeeping Houseperson supports the operational efficiency of the housekeeping department by assisting with essential tasks such as linen delivery, trash removal, and supporting room attendants. The role requires a hands-on approach in operating cleaning equipment and handling cleaning chemicals safely and effectively, contributing to the overall maintenance and deep cleaning efforts within the hotel.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of public areas, guest corridors, service areas, and back of house spaces in accordance with Hyatt standards
  • Support housekeeping operations by delivering linen, removing trash, and assisting room attendants as needed
  • Ensure prompt response to housekeeping requests and departmental needs throughout the shift
  • Operate cleaning equipment and handle chemicals in a safe and efficient manner following established procedures
  • Maintain organization of storage areas, housekeeping closets, and supplies to ensure readiness and efficiency
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects and special assignments as directed by leadership
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication with housekeeping colleagues and other hotel departments
  • Promote Hyatt’s Culture of Care through attention to detail and service excellence
