Job Description

Hilton Hotels is a global leader in the hospitality industry, well-known for its commitment to excellence and delivering exceptional guest experiences. With a rich history of welcoming over 3 billion guests worldwide, Hilton has established itself as a premier destination for travelers seeking comfort, quality, and outstanding service. The company is recognized for fostering an award-winning workplace culture that values core principles such as integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, and a sense of urgency to create memorable moments for its guests. Hilton’s dedication to these values has earned it repeated accolades on the World’s Best Workplaces list by Great Place to Work and Fortune, showcasing its ongoing commitment to its employees as well as guests.

As a Houseperson at Hilton Hotels, you play a crucial role that goes beyond just maintaining cleanliness. This role is at the heart of spreading warmth and light through outstanding hospitality, making every guest feel welcomed and valued. You will be responsible for ensuring that public areas including restrooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, offices, and event spaces are immaculate and inviting through daily cleaning tasks like dusting, polishing, vacuuming, mopping, window washing, and trash removal. Additionally, the Houseperson helps delight guests by warmly greeting them, delivering requested items, and assisting with room cleaning. Your role involves managing supplies effectively by stocking and organizing supply rooms to support housekeeping operations smoothly.

The role also includes handling special projects such as deep cleaning tasks which involve flipping mattresses, moving furniture, carpet cleaning, and waxing floors, all of which contribute to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness across the property. Supporting property maintenance by identifying and reporting any repair or maintenance issues is another important aspect of this position to ensure the hotel is consistently well-kept and safe for all guests and staff.

Hilton’s core values are deeply embedded in the Houseperson role. A passion for hospitality drives every action, while integrity ensures ethical conduct at all times. Team members are expected to inspire leadership and embrace teamwork, recognizing that collaboration creates the best outcomes. Ownership and accountability are also key, as is a focus on the present moment, bringing urgency and discipline to every task to make a lasting impact on the guest experience.

Working at Hilton means joining a company that prioritizes creating an exceptional workplace culture alongside delivering outstanding guest stays. Whether you are embarking on your hospitality career or seeking new opportunities, Hilton provides support and growth pathways through its global network and varied brand portfolio. The company encourages team members to come for the job but stay for the career, fostering a sense of belonging and professional advancement.

If you are enthusiastic about delivering top-notch service, take pride in maintaining a welcoming environment, and want to work with a world-renowned hospitality leader, the Houseperson role at Hilton Hotels offers a fulfilling and dynamic opportunity. With its comprehensive training, supportive culture, and commitment to excellence, Hilton is the ideal place to build a rewarding career in hospitality and help make every guest stay a little more magical.
