The position of a Room Attendant/Houseperson at Omni Hotels & Resorts is a crucial role within the hotel’s housekeeping team, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of guest floors and public areas. This role ensures that guest expectations for a spotless and comfortable environment are consistently met. The Room Attendant/Houseperson is tasked with managing supply closets to keep them well stocked, promptly handling dirty linens and trash, and ensuring that chute rooms and corridors remain clean and orderly. Additionally, this role involves removing trays from guest floors, cleaning areas near vending machines, moving furniture upon request, and efficiently completing guest requests to elevate the overall customer experience. The employee must be vigilant about reporting maintenance issues using the hotel's service call or work order ticket system and is expected to operate and maintain cleaning equipment and machinery proficiently.

This job requires the individual to clean and maintain at least two guestroom floors daily and to respond to guest requests within 15 minutes, showcasing a commitment to swift and effective service. Responsibilities also include maintaining public and associate areas, requiring attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness and guest satisfaction. The role demands a flexible attitude to perform any additional tasks assigned by management, contributing to smooth hotel operations. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving furniture
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Reliable and punctual

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial services preferred
  • Ability to operate cleaning machinery and equipment

Job Duties

  • Ensures that assigned Room Attendants’ and Housepersons’ supply closets are stocked at par
  • Picks up dirty linen and trash throughout the day
  • Keeps the chute rooms clean
  • Removes trays from the guest floors
  • Keeps corridors and stairwells on guestroom floors clean
  • Keeps areas by the vending rooms clean
  • Moves furniture upon request
  • Completes guest requests
  • Cleans and maintains at least 2 guestroom floors daily
  • Satisfies guest requests within 15 minutes
  • Reports all maintenance deficiencies using service call/work order tickets
  • Operates and maintains cleaning equipment and machinery
