Job Description

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Carson is a distinguished hospitality establishment that forms part of the globally recognized Hilton brand. Renowned for delivering exceptional guest experiences, this hotel prides itself on its welcoming atmosphere, high standards of service, and commitment to excellence. Located in Carson, California, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Carson caters to both leisure and business travelers, providing comfortable accommodations, premium amenities, and attentive customer care. As part of the hospitality industry, this hotel emphasizes creating a memorable stay for its guests by combining modern comfort with friendly and professional service.

The role of House Attendant at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Carson is within the Housekeeping Department, reporting directly to the Director of Housekeeping. This position is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), meaning the employee may be eligible for overtime pay. The primary objective of the House Attendant is to perform cleaning duties meticulously to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel. The house attendant’s responsibilities are vital to ensuring that guests enjoy a pristine environment that meets Hilton Brand Standards, thereby enhancing overall guest satisfaction.

In this role, the House Attendant actively contributes to maintaining the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms and common areas. Tasks include transporting linens between the main housekeeping closet and various room attendant closets, thoroughly cleaning assigned guest balconies, and stripping departure rooms by removing dirty linens and trash. Additionally, the House Attendant is responsible for maintaining the exterior appearance of all guest rooms and keeping linen closets well-organized and stocked properly. Reporting any deficiencies to management or engineering ensures that maintenance issues are addressed promptly, further supporting the hotel's operational excellence.

The physical demands of the position require the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry loads of up to 50 pounds, and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously. Candidates must also be able to communicate effectively in English to coordinate with guests and team members smoothly. The role requires individuals who are flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently while maintaining a commitment to safety and a clean work environment. Open availability, including weekends and holidays, is essential to meet the dynamic needs of hotel operations.

Wearing a designated uniform and adhering to grooming standards is mandatory to maintain the professional image of the hotel. The House Attendant also plays a crucial role in supporting safe work habits by using protective equipment such as gloves and masks when necessary and handling cleaning chemicals responsibly.

Joining the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Carson means being part of a vibrant, inclusive workplace that values equal opportunity and diversity. The hotel does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other protected classification. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to an esteemed hotel brand committed to exceptional service and operational excellence while fostering a positive and supportive work culture.
