The role of a Housekeeping Houseperson at Hilton Columbus/Polaris is integral to ensuring guests experience a clean, comfortable, and home-like atmosphere throughout their stay. This full-time position requires working primarily the 1st shift, from 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Saturday, with Sunday hours from 9 am to 5:30 pm, including availability on weekdays and weekends. The Housekeeping Houseperson supports the housekeeping team by maintaining the cleanliness of guest floor corridors, foyers, stairwells, and public vending areas. They assist room attendants by stocking linen closets and delivering supplies, emptying soiled linen and trash from room attendant carts, and performing routine cleaning tasks such as spot cleaning walls and doors, polishing mirrors and elevator doors, and vacuuming or mopping various common areas.
This position is critical in upholding Crescent’s high standards of quality and cleanliness, directly impacting the guest experience by ensuring that public and private hotel areas remain pristine and inviting. The Housekeeping Houseperson is a valued team member who contributes to a welcoming environment that makes guests feel at home despite being away from their residences. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in housekeeping or custodial role preferred
- ability to work the specified shift hours including weekends
- must pass a criminal background check
- physical capability to perform cleaning duties
- availability for immediate employment
