Job Requirements
- Must possess a high school education or equivalent
- must have one year of prior commercial or institutional housekeeping experience
- must possess the ability to make independent decisions
- must be able to follow instructions
- must accept constructive criticism
- must be tactful in dealing with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
- must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel
- must be able to handle residents based on their maturity level
- must be able to follow instructions about mixing and using cleaning compounds and disinfectants
- must be able to report on resident’s condition
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- one year of prior experience in commercial or institutional housekeeping
- prefer prior experience in assisted living, independent living or skilled nursing facilities
- ability to make independent decisions
- ability to follow instructions and accept constructive criticism
- able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
- willing to work harmoniously with other personnel
- able to handle residents based on their maturity level
- able to follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning compounds and disinfecting solutions
- able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition
Job Duties
- Provides daily cleaning of main common areas and offices to include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and windows
- cleans residents’ apartments to include bathroom, toilets, trash, dusting and vacuuming
- cleans public restrooms and employee breakroom
- vacuums halls and front lobby as required by schedule or as needed
- responsible for emptying trash in offices daily
- building cleaning as needed to include baseboards, ceiling light fixtures, and other hard to reach/access areas
- responsible for keeping the furniture in common areas clean and free of dust and clutter
- perform laundry functions as needed
