Job Requirements

  • Must possess a high school education or equivalent
  • must have one year of prior commercial or institutional housekeeping experience
  • must possess the ability to make independent decisions
  • must be able to follow instructions
  • must accept constructive criticism
  • must be tactful in dealing with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
  • must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel
  • must be able to handle residents based on their maturity level
  • must be able to follow instructions about mixing and using cleaning compounds and disinfectants
  • must be able to report on resident’s condition

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • one year of prior experience in commercial or institutional housekeeping
  • prefer prior experience in assisted living, independent living or skilled nursing facilities
  • ability to make independent decisions
  • ability to follow instructions and accept constructive criticism
  • able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
  • willing to work harmoniously with other personnel
  • able to handle residents based on their maturity level
  • able to follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning compounds and disinfecting solutions
  • able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition

Job Duties

  • Provides daily cleaning of main common areas and offices to include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and windows
  • cleans residents’ apartments to include bathroom, toilets, trash, dusting and vacuuming
  • cleans public restrooms and employee breakroom
  • vacuums halls and front lobby as required by schedule or as needed
  • responsible for emptying trash in offices daily
  • building cleaning as needed to include baseboards, ceiling light fixtures, and other hard to reach/access areas
  • responsible for keeping the furniture in common areas clean and free of dust and clutter
  • perform laundry functions as needed
