Job Requirements

Must possess a high school education or equivalent
Must have at least one year of prior experience in commercial or institutional housekeeping
Ability to make independent decisions
Ability to follow instructions and accept constructive criticism
Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
Ability to handle residents at varying maturity levels
Ability to follow instructions regarding cleaning compounds and solutions
Capable of reporting on residents' conditions appropriately

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in commercial or institutional housekeeping
Prefer prior experience in assisted living, independent living, or skilled nursing facility
Ability to follow written and oral instructions
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Capable of handling cleaning compounds safely

Job Duties

Provides daily cleaning of main common areas and offices to include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and windows
Cleans residents' apartments to include bathroom, toilets, trash, dusting and vacuuming
Cleans public restrooms and employee breakroom
Vacuums halls and front lobby as required by schedule or as needed
Responsible for emptying trash in offices daily
Building cleaning as needed to include baseboards, ceiling light fixtures, and other hard to reach/access areas
Responsible for keeping the furniture in common areas clean and free of dust and clutter
Perform laundry functions as needed
