At the Denver Sonesta Downtown location, the Housekeeping House Attendant is a non-exempt, hourly position with a pay range of $19.50 to $20.00 per hour. Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, the attendant’s primary responsibility focuses on maintaining and cleaning guest room floors, ensuring areas meet the high standards that guests expect from Sonesta. Beyond cleaning duties, the role includes managing housekeeping supply closets and storage rooms to keep the environment organized and fully stocked. Providing attentive and courteous assistance to guests is essential in this role, including responding to inquiries and ensuring guests enjoy an outstanding stay filled with 'Amazing Moments'.

This front-facing role requires maintaining cleanliness through dusting, vacuuming, disinfecting, sanitizing, trash removal, sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors to exacting standards. The job involves delivering clean linens and collecting soiled ones and preparing roll-a-way beds to accommodate guests’ needs. Additionally, the House Attendant is responsible for receiving and storing housekeeping inventory, maintaining linen rooms, fulfilling guest requests promptly, and supporting room attendants as needed. Professionalism, patience, and effective communication skills are vital when handling guest complaints or requests, as well as managing lost and found items according to company procedures.

Working as a Housekeeping House Attendant at Sonesta means being flexible with work schedules, which can include variable days of the week, weekends, holidays, and shifts that range from day to overnight hours, sometimes extending to ten to twelve-hour shifts. Physical demands of the position include the ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for the duration of the shift, all common in this fast-paced environment.
