The role of Housekeeping Floor Supervisor is essential to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and guest service that Seneca Gaming Corporation is known for. This supervisory position oversees and assists the daily responsibilities of the housekeeping frontline personnel within the hotel. The primary focus of the role is to ensure that all guest rooms and common areas are serviced in accordance with established company policies, standards, and Internal Control objectives. The supervisor is responsible for monitoring the status of guest rooms, stock levels, and reporting any issues or problem situations that arise.
In addition to managing housekeeping operations, the Housekeeping Floor Supervisor coordinates the distribution and collection of equipment such as keys and beepers, and regularly conducts inspections to maintain quality control throughout the hotel. The position requires active involvement in hiring, evaluating, and training employees, as well as ensuring compliance with corporate policies, including those related to purchasing, human resources, and tribal employment rights ordinances (TERO). Promoting positive public and employee relations is a key responsibility, alongside providing exceptional customer service in all interactions.
The role also demands a strong commitment to security policies and information confidentiality standards, consistent with the corporation’s Acceptable Use Policy. The supervisor must maintain professionalism at all times, working closely with management and other staff members to cultivate a respectful and productive work environment. This position may require working various shifts based on a 24-hour schedule, and the successful candidate will be expected to participate in relevant meetings and training programs to stay aligned with company goals and regulatory requirements. Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must have at least two years of hotel housekeeping or related experience preferred
- Must have basic mathematical skills necessary for conducting inventories
- Must possess excellent communication skills to deal effectively with customers and employees
- Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Possess proven leadership ability to provide general guidelines to subordinate personnel and direction toward short-term developmental goals
- Must perform duties while utilizing discretion and respecting the privacy of guests

Job Duties
- Supervise assigned area to ensure guest rooms are serviced in accordance with established policies and standards
- Monitor and report on guest room status, stock levels and problem situations within hotel
- Regularly perform inspections of guest rooms and common/public areas within the hotel to ensure quality control
- Coordinate distribution and collection of keys, beepers, and other equipment for the assigned area
- Assist in hiring and evaluating employees
- Administer established training programs
- Adhere to Purchasing, HR, and TERO compliance requirements
- Ensure top quality guest service
- Perform work of subordinates as needed
- Promote positive public/employee relations at all times
- Participate as a panel member on SGC's Board of Review as needed
- Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy
- Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times
- Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff
- Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies
- Complete all required SGC training programs within nine months from commencement of employment
- Attend all necessary meetings
