Job Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends
  • Able to listen and respond to guest inquiries professionally and positively
  • Physical stamina and mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to stand for 8 hours at a time
  • Capable of lifting and pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds
  • Able to operate vacuum cleaners, dustpans, and brooms
  • Able to tolerate cleaning chemicals
  • Work performed indoors in a climate controlled environment
  • Must maintain compliance with safety standards and injury prevention
  • Able to communicate clearly with guests, management, and team members

Job Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping management experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments
  • Strong leadership and team coaching skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams for communication
  • Ability to conduct inspections and enforce cleanliness standards
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced casino resort environment
  • Ability to provide performance feedback and conduct reviews
  • Experience in scheduling and staff management
  • Basic interviewing and hiring skills

Job Duties

  • Oversee and ensure the smooth operation of assigned areas including efficient and correct cleaning of rooms, maintenance of guest-facing areas, and availability of tools and supplies
  • Supervise, train, direct, and assist all team members assigned to the area
  • Assist in maintaining OSHA compliance, proper chemical usage, biohazard handling, and injury prevention
  • Distribute workload fairly and evenly among staff assigned to the station
  • Ensure VIP rooms and guests receive proper attention and service
  • Conduct daily briefings, pre-shift meetings, and schedule meetings with Guest Room Attendants and House Attendants
  • Communicate with housekeeping and other departments via Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams
  • Follow up on outstanding work orders for assigned areas
  • Ensure cleanliness of rooms, guest access areas, lockers, linen rooms, and supply closets
  • Maintain PAR levels of supplies on assigned floors
  • Perform daily and frequent visual inspections of guest rooms and public areas based on department standards
  • Monitor work productivity and report any substandard areas to the Director of Housekeeping
  • Coach and counsel team members on policies and provide feedback on job performance and guest service
  • Produce annual reviews and provide recommendations for promotions
  • Assist in interviewing and hiring for open roles
  • Collaborate with upper management for scheduling and PTO requests
