Job Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision
- Ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions
- Effective communication skills with others by phone and verbally
- Ability to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for mixing and use of cleaning chemicals
- Ability to fill out chemical identification stickers
- Possession of an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card if working in certain behavioral health or senior care settings
- Signed Arizona Criminal History Affidavit upon hire
Job Qualifications
- Ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions

Job Duties
- Performs a variety of assigned cleaning tasks including dusting mopping scrubbing disinfecting vacuuming and polishing according to departmental policy and procedures
- Empties hampers and transports of soiled linen and trash containers including medical waste containers such as sharps
- Inventories restocks and replenishes supplies such as toilet tissue paper towels and hand soap in all assigned areas
- Maintains cleanliness of departmental equipment and reports necessary repairs
- Performs special projects such as window washing wall washing and removal of heavily soiled items
- Responds to questions and requests from patients staff and visitors meeting or exceeding customer service goals
- Works under regular supervision with responsibility for assigned facility or area only
