The Housekeeping Environmental Services (EVS) Associate role at Banner Boswell Medical Center focuses on maintaining a clean, sanitizing, and safe environment essential to the health and well-being of patients, visitors, and staff. This is a part-time evening position, working 3 days a week from 3 PM to 10 PM, totaling 28 hours weekly, including mandatory weekends and holidays. The hospital offers a competitive flat-rate weekend shift differential of $1/hour and an 18% night shift differential where applicable. The ideal candidate for this position will be hardworking and dedicated to contributing to the appearance and hygiene of the hospital facilities, playing an important role in fostering a positive and safe healthcare experience for everyone.

EVS Associates are expected to perform a variety of cleaning tasks encompassing dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming, and polishing in accordance with department policies and procedures. Their responsibilities extend beyond routine cleaning to include emptying soiled linen hampers, disposing of medical and regular waste, restocking supplies, and maintaining the cleanliness of housekeeping equipment. The role may involve undertaking special projects like window or wall washing and removal of heavily soiled items. This position is physically demanding, requiring extensive walking and handling of housekeeping carts, sometimes in challenging environments such as specialty units like COVID-19 wards or morgue areas. Candidates must be prepared to work with cleaning chemicals, including those for biohazard cleanup, and demonstrate excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the medical staff and team members.

Banner Boswell Medical Center values professionalism and safety, conducting background checks and drug screenings as part of the hiring process. Employees are also required to complete onboarding expediently and adhere to the hospital's annual flu vaccination policy unless exempted. This position demands a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The Housekeeping EVS Associate plays a crucial role not only in hospital maintenance but also in ensuring a comforting and hygienic atmosphere that directly supports patient recovery and satisfaction. Join Banner Boswell Medical Center’s environmental services team and make a meaningful difference in the community’s health today.
