This job opening is for a full-time Environmental Services Technician in Greeley, Colorado, within the Environmental Services department, working the evening shift from 3pm to 11:30pm. The role is integral to maintaining cleanliness, safety, and overall patient comfort across hospital facilities. The Environmental Services team is essential behind-the-scenes personnel who ensure the hospital remains aesthetically pleasing and sanitary, ultimately contributing to patient recovery and satisfaction. This position offers a flat rate $1.50 hourly weekend shift differential and $5 hourly night shift differential when applicable.

The responsibilities of an Environmental Services Technician at Banner Health encompass a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties. Employees perform tasks including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming, and polishing to comply with departmental policies. Ensuring that medical waste and soiled linens are properly handled and disposed of is critical to hospital safety protocols. The role also involves inventory management of cleaning supplies and maintenance of equipment, with the employee accountable for reporting any needed repairs. Special projects such as window washing and removal of heavily soiled items may arise from time to time.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Perform assigned cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming and polishing
  • Empty hampers and transport soiled linen
  • Empty trash and medical waste containers including sharps
  • Inventory, restock and replenish supplies in assigned areas
  • Maintain cleanliness of departmental equipment and report repairs
  • Perform special projects such as window washing and removing heavily soiled items
  • Respond to questions and requests from patients, staff and visitors
