Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year supervisory experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
  • Understanding of safety requirements related to cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor involving lifting up to 40 pounds
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lead and train housekeeping staff

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Minimum of one year supervisory experience over full-time and/or part-time staff
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have leadership experience with a working knowledge of methods of cleaning, materials, supplies, tools, and equipment utilized in the housekeeping and maintenance of a public assembly facility
  • Working knowledge of safety requirements while utilizing housekeeping equipment, cleaning supplies, and chemicals
  • Basic knowledge of rolling equipment and floor stripping procedure and working knowledge of cleaning timelines
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work varied hours often including frequent nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Ability to perform physical tasks involving walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 40lbs for the duration of the shift

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day cleaning operations
  • Coordinate the Housekeeping Team to assure tasks are completed in a timely fashion in accordance with instructions
  • Perform inspections of tasks performed by Housekeeping Team
  • Assist in training new team members on required tasks established by the department
  • Assist with supervision of full-time and part-time staff in the absence of Housekeeping Supervisor
  • Lead Housekeeping Team and participate in performing a wide variety of housekeeping tasks such as trash removal, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, sweeping, polishing, waxing, mopping
  • Report unsatisfactory or dangerous situations which cannot be immediately corrected to appropriate authority
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
