Housekeeping Crew members are also responsible for patrol duties during mall or store open hours, which involve quickly addressing spills and hazards to ensure shopper safety. They perform cleaning touch-ups throughout the day and maintain stocked restrooms. Workers may also be involved in waste management tasks such as operating trash and cardboard compactors and removing debris from common areas. In addition to standard custodial duties, some employees may be trained to use specialized equipment like diesel-fired hot water pressure washers for cleaning outdoor entrances and sidewalks.
