The Housekeeping department at Marriott Marquis Chicago plays a critical role in maintaining the hotel's high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. The position available is for a full-time, non-management Housekeeping Attendant with a competitive pay range between $26.87 and $27.62 per hour. This role requires managing sold room reports, verifying room status, prioritizing room cleaning, and updating the status of departing guest rooms. The Housekeeping Attendant acts as a vital liaison coordinating efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
In this role, the individual will assist Housekeeping management in executing daily activities, prepare and distribute room assignments to staff, monitor and update lists such as the 'Do Not Disturb' rooms, and ensure that all vacant dirty rooms are cleaned promptly. The role also includes important administrative responsibilities such as completing necessary paperwork and documenting discrepancies in room status to resolve issues efficiently with the Front Desk.
