As a member of the housekeeping team at The Ritz-Carlton Residences Key Biscayne, you will play a vital role in ensuring that common areas are consistently maintained in pristine condition, adhering strictly to hotel quality standards. This full-time, non-management position focuses on delivering outstanding cleanliness alongside preventive maintenance checks to identify and report any issues within the facility. Your daily responsibilities will involve using checklists to guarantee the upkeep of all communal spaces, coordinating timely repairs, and maintaining equipment used for cleaning tasks. Communication is key, as you will liaise directly with the Residence office to request urgent maintenance repairs and document all issues comprehensively for follow-up. You'll also serve as a role model within the department, helping to mentor colleagues and ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality assurance expectations.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent general education development certificate
  • Less than one year of related work experience
  • No supervisory experience required
  • No licenses or certifications required
  • Ability to adhere to safety policies and procedures
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and moving up to 55 pounds with assistance
  • Commitment to maintaining a professional appearance and uniform

Job Duties

  • Use checklists to keep common areas clean and in good condition
  • Identify and communicate prevention or maintenance problems in common areas
  • Request preventive or non-urgent maintenance repairs using the appropriate method
  • Contact the Residence office directly for urgent repairs
  • Clean, maintain, and store cleaning equipment
  • Document and report problems to be resolved
  • Complete the cleaning department's required documents
  • Respond immediately to requests from the Residence Administration Office
  • Serve as an exemplary model or mentor within the department
  • Verify and confirm that employees comply with company policies and external regulations
