The role of Housekeeper is vital in maintaining the overall aesthetic and hygiene standards across all guest rooms and public areas. This position involves meeting stringent cleanliness standards and time requirements to uphold the hotel’s reputation. Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning guestrooms, bathrooms, and shared spaces, ensuring all areas are free of dust, dirt, and waste. They are expected to replace linens, make beds, restock essential supplies, and maintain well-organized service carts. Furthermore, housekeepers perform basic maintenance tasks such as unclogging drains, changing light bulbs, and reporting any issues to maintenance teams. Operating commercial laundry and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently is also a key component of the role. Exceptional guest service skills are necessary, as the housekeeper is often the face of the hotel to guests and must respond promptly and professionally to any inquiries or concerns. This role requires individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team to uphold the quality standards that define our hospitality brand.

Job Qualifications

  • experience in housekeeping or similar role preferred

Job Duties

  • meet all cleanliness and time requirement standards established for cleaning guestrooms and other areas of the hotel including the lobby, breakfast, pool, fitness center, stairways, hallways, elevators and patio
  • clean, dust, and remove waste in all areas of guestrooms, bathrooms, and public areas
  • replace and provide all linens as necessary in accordance with standards including making beds
  • replace or provide required supplies in guestrooms and public areas
  • maintain an organized cart and stock cart with linens and supplies in accordance with standards
  • provide exceptional guest service and respond promptly to guests’ inquiries and concerns
  • report room status and maintenance problems promptly
  • perform basic maintenance skills including plunging toilets, changing light bulbs and unclogging drains
  • handle chemicals and cleaning supplies with care and in accordance with standards
  • operate commercial laundry and cleaning equipment
  • perform all tasks and functions related to laundry and linen care
  • maintain appropriately stocked linen and storage rooms
  • perform additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership
