Proper disposal of waste including hazardous materials like needles, syringes, and biohazards is a critical part of the job to ensure health and safety compliance. Other tasks include moving hospital equipment and furniture, cleaning wheelchairs and gurneys, and assisting in patient room turnover by sanitizing beds and linens.

Kaiser Permanente values ethical conduct, privacy of medical information, and a commitment to compliance with all regulatory standards. The position requires a person with good physical stamina capable of moderate to heavy lifting and the ability to understand and follow basic instructions. While no prior experience or formal education is strictly required, the role demands a reliable individual with attention to detail and a strong work ethic capable of contributing positively to the hospital environment.
