The role of a Housekeeping Associate within the Equinox team is pivotal to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall positive experience for members and guests. This position is based in the South Bay area and offers an hourly wage of $18.47. It is a key front-line role that combines excellent customer service with meticulous attention to detail in maintaining the physical environment of the club. Housekeeping Associates are responsible for ensuring that all facilities, including locker rooms, exercise areas, and public spaces, are clean and well-stocked, which directly impacts the member’s experience and satisfaction.

Housekeeping Associates work closely with other team members to uphold the brand’s high standards through various duties such as cleaning, equipment maintenance, managing supplies, and supporting special events. Job Requirements

  • Must possess a clear understanding of what constitutes a clean and sanitary environment
  • Prior experience in cleaning and laundry services is highly preferred
  • Ability to service athletic equipment along with previous experience working with cleaning products and hand tools
  • Strong customer service, organizational, communication, and multi-tasking abilities

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensure that the club and exercise equipment are clean and well maintained while providing all members, prospective members, and guests with excellent customer service
  • Ensure that the sidewalk entrance and lobby are presentable
  • Clean the locker room and stock all locker room consumables
  • Clean and organize storage, laundry, exercise, and coat rooms
  • Maintain an adequate supply of towels on the exercise floor
  • Provide maintenance for all equipment
  • Receive and store all deliveries
  • Assist with special events
  • Notify the Housekeeping Manager when any rooms or equipment need immediate attention
