Job Description
Vital Farms is a pioneering company in the food production industry known for its commitment to ethical practices, sustainability, and high-quality products. With a focus on conscious capitalism, Vital Farms integrates business decisions that benefit all stakeholders including employees, customers, and the environment. The company operates a state-of-the-art production facility named Egg Central Station (ECS), where innovation and quality work hand in hand to set new standards for food safety and production excellence. Vital Farms not only delivers fresh, pasture-raised eggs but also fosters a positive and inclusive workplace culture that values diversity, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Their mission extends beyond food production to making meaningful impacts on communities and industries through ethical and sustainable practices. They are currently seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Associate for the night shift to join their dynamic team and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety within their production and office environments. This 12-hour night shift position operates on a unique 2-2-3 schedule over a two-week cycle, providing a structured yet balanced work-life arrangement with competitive pay of $20.25 per hour plus a $3 per hour night shift differential, holiday pay, and comprehensive benefits including healthcare from day one, 401K with company contributions, and paid time off featuring immediate accrual starting with the first paycheck.
The role of Housekeeping Associate at Vital Farms goes beyond standard cleaning duties; it is about creating an exceptional environment where cleanliness meets care and creativity. Reporting directly to the Sanitation Manager, the associate will be responsible for ensuring the office areas such as conference rooms, restrooms, locker rooms, kitchens, breakrooms, and common spaces remain spotless, hygienic, and well-organized. They will meticulously clean and maintain all surfaces including floors, door handles, windows, and tabletops, with an eye for detail that keeps the workspace inviting and fresh at all times. This role also involves dusting furniture and office equipment, managing waste and recycling efficiently to keep clutter at bay, and actively contributing to a welcoming ambiance by caring for kitchen and breakroom areas—topping off drinks, restocking snacks, cleaning refrigerators, and sanitizing all surfaces. The associate will collaborate with the Crew Engagement Coordinator to support weekly crew lunches and special events by handling setup, serving, and cleanup duties.
Safety and compliance are paramount; hence, this position requires strict adherence to all Vital Farms policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), health and safety regulations, and reporting practices to ensure both food and personnel safety are upheld. The role includes the safe operation of sanitation equipment and handling of cleaning chemicals. Vital Farms values proactive team members who are enthusiastic about maintaining a clean, organized environment that reflects the company’s values and culture. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous housekeeping experience to thrive in a supportive setting where their work makes a tangible difference in the workplace experience and production quality. Joining Vital Farms means becoming part of a company that respects and encourages growth, diversity, and dedication in every employee while promoting a balanced and rewarding career path. Whether you are motivated by the company’s ethical stance, innovative spirit, or the desire to be part of a community-oriented business, this Housekeeping Associate role on the night shift is a fantastic opportunity to contribute meaningfully while enjoying attractive benefits and a collaborative team atmosphere.
