Job Description
This company is a reputable healthcare and life plan community provider based in Ohio, recognized for its commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals who require healthcare services or are entering a new phase in life. The organization prides itself on fostering a workplace culture where employees are deeply passionate about their mission. They value attributes such as dependability, creativity, and a strong sense of purpose in delivering service, whether it is through healing, addressing loneliness, or improving operational processes. This culture of passion and accountability is a cornerstone for sustained team members who actively embody its core values: customer service, innovation, integrity, inclusion, financial stewardship, leadership, and care.
The role of the Housekeeping Associate is integral to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within this community. Charged with the day-to-day cleaning responsibilities across resident and patient homes, patient rooms, common areas, and administrative offices, this position ensures that all spaces reflect the highest standards of hygiene and comfort. Compliance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations is a foundational requirement of the role, highlighting the company's dedication to quality assurance and risk management.
As part of operations management tasks, the Housekeeping Associate is expected to dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and floors; clean and disinfect bathrooms; handle waste disposal duties; maintain cleanliness of windows and mirrors; and ensure supplies and equipment are properly stocked and maintained. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, as well as the ability to recognize and report necessary repairs or improvements.
In addition to these operational tasks, the position demands strict adherence to infection control practices and universal precautions, reflecting the community's commitment to safety and health standards. The Housekeeping Associate also plays a role in fostering positive customer relations by attentively responding to residents’ and staff members’ needs, while respecting personal and property rights.
Administrative responsibilities include maintaining accurate records in line with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role may also require participation in training and team meetings, underscoring a commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration.
Given the physical nature of the position, candidates should be able to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work various shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Awareness of and sensitivity to potential exposure to infectious diseases and other occupational hazards is necessary, as this is an inherent aspect of the healthcare environment.
Overall, this Housekeeping Associate position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a community-focused organization that values its employees' dedication to their mission and the comfort and safety of its members. The role balances operational, quality, and customer service duties within a supportive and mission-driven environment.
