Job Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • 2-3 years of progressive hotel housekeeping experience
  • proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and HotSOS
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to lead and motivate a team
  • knowledge of housekeeping operations and safety compliance
  • ability to manage inventory and budget
  • capacity to handle guest complaints effectively
  • excellent organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • refined verbal and written communication skills
  • demonstrated ability to effectively interact with diverse backgrounds
  • 2-3 years progressive hotel housekeeping experience
  • service oriented style with professional presentation skills
  • hotel or hospitality degree an asset but not required

Job Duties

  • Create and execute procedures to assist the hotel in reaching service scores on guest and colleague surveys
  • report and collaborate with the Executive Housekeeper to resolve challenges
  • support the Housekeeping and Laundry Department working closely with other departments
  • supervise, coach, and motivate Housekeeping and Laundry Department staff
  • manage and perform quarterly linen inventory
  • perform daily walk-throughs to ensure health and safety compliance
  • handle colleague issues with prompt response time
  • maintain visibility at pre-shift and department meetings
  • analyze guest satisfaction results and implement action plans
  • organize team building activities
  • encourage active participation in achieving divisional goals
  • apply consistent accountability and follow through
  • recruit, select, and develop housekeeping professionals
  • assist in ensuring department delivers brand promise and exceptional service
  • handle guest and internal customer complaints courteously and efficiently
  • maintain positive guest and colleague interactions
  • ensure housekeeping services are available and efficient
  • focus on improving productivity and managing costs
  • embrace new technology and equipment
  • provide input into budget preparation and management
  • assign responsibilities and check performance
  • understand cleaning products and their economical use
  • ensure workplace is adequately equipped and organized
  • assist in conducting inventory checks
  • conduct daily pre-shift briefings
  • ensure liaison with Engineering on cleaning schedules and follow up on pending work orders
