The organization prides itself on maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming atmosphere for its residents, visitors, and associates alike.\n\nThe Environmental Services Technician position at GSS Founders Crossing is a full-time role with weekly hours totaling 40, offering a competitive salary range of $15.00 to $17.00 per hour. This role plays a crucial part in the overall health and safety of the residents, staff, and visitors by ensuring that the facility’s environment is clean, sanitary, and infection-free. The technician is responsible for meticulous cleaning of patient and resident rooms, common areas such as hallways, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, and other designated spaces. This includes tasks such as emptying waste baskets, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, polishing floors, and using various cleaning tools and machines including mops, brooms, and powered scrubbing equipment. Additional responsibilities encompass assisting in laundry areas and managing the use of technology such as pagers and cleaning applications provided by the facility.\n\nWorking as an Environmental Services Technician requires not only physical stamina to perform demanding tasks that involve lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, twisting, and standing for extended periods, but also a strong adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards. The role demands a keen eye for detail to maintain a sterile environment that is essential for the wellbeing of vulnerable seniors. These efforts significantly contribute to the quality of life for residents by reducing the risk of infection and promoting a healthy living space. Employees in this role may need to work varied shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, depending on patient and resident needs.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have at least six months of commercial cleaning experience and be familiar with cleaning chemicals, methods, materials, and equipment.
