Job Requirements

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
  • Effective communication skills
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
  • Willingness to work Monday - Friday 10:00am - 6:00pm and weekends as needed

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize and direct the Environmental Services Department programs and activities to ensure that the organization is maintained in a clean, safe, sanitary and comfortable manner
  • Coordinate housekeeping and laundry services with other facility departments and agencies
  • Assist in developing and maintaining written housekeeping policies and procedures
  • Ensure that department personnel follow department policies and utilize equipment and supplies effectively
  • Make recommendations to the Administrator as necessary concerning the operation of the Housekeeping Department
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in apartments and common areas, such as vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, and dusting all cleared flat surfaces
  • Accomplish all work in the order of priority set by the supervisor
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of supplies and equipment used
