The role of Housekeeping & Laundry Assistant at Trilogy is integral to maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment within the facility, directly contributing to the quality of life for residents, their families, and staff. This position is responsible for executing daily cleaning and laundry tasks in accordance with Trilogy’s stringent standards and federal and state regulations. The Housekeeping & Laundry Assistant plays a vital role in infection control by performing routine cleaning, deep cleans during resident move-ins and move-outs, as well as specialized isolation cleaning procedures. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to ensure the facility meets hygiene and safety expectations consistently.

In this role, the assistant will clean resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and employee spaces, ensuring that all environments are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness at all times. The position also involves operating laundry equipment to wash, dry, and deliver resident linens and clothing, with responsibilities including the proper labeling and storage of these items. Maintaining and storing all cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment properly is also a critical duty to ensure efficiency and safety.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or ged/hse preferred
  • ability to perform physical labor including lifting at least 25 pounds and standing for long periods
  • knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures
  • ability to follow detailed instructions and infection control guidelines
  • prior experience in housekeeping or related field preferred
  • good interpersonal skills
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • willingness to work flexible hours if required

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or ged/hse preferred
  • experience in housekeeping or janitorial work preferred
  • knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • ability to follow infection control procedures
  • good communication skills
  • ability to handle physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents, family members, and employees
  • perform daily cleaning assignments, deep cleaning for move-ins and move-outs, and isolation cleaning following infection control procedures
  • ensure assigned work areas are clean and equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored
  • wash, dry, and deliver resident laundry and linens
  • properly label resident laundry
  • maintain and store all cleaning and laundry equipment
  • follow federal and state regulations and Trilogy standards
  • support infection control and safety protocols
